Track/Basketball

Hi!

I hope every one had a wonderful Sunday!


I was not able to go to the Prairie View track meet on Saturday, but I heard from my teammates that it was pretty fun.


I enjoy running with the team because they always are pushing me to do better.


I'm looking forward to the next track practice(Monday)/meet(Thursday)!


I have been going for Davidson's basketball team in the NCAA Tournament. I thought it was awesome that they were going farther into the tournament than expected. So I started to watch and go for them. Unfortunately they lost today and are out. (Kansas got lucky today). But I think Davidson did a terrific job in this tournament!! Go Davidson!

6 Miles!!

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

I finally ran 6 miles without stopping today!! I ran two 3.2 mile loops so it was slightly longer than 6 miles. I was starting to get really tired after I finished my 4th mile but I keep on going. Not by my on strengh of course! God pushed me to the end! I was pretty happy about my time, 1:08:32 . My feet are still recovering. I had to come home and ice my feet(I have a flat feet). But anyway it was fun and the sun was not too bad. :)

Dr. Seuss!

I don't know how many people my age think Dr.Seuss is still pretty cool, but I think he is an amazing author and his characters are like none other. There are alot of Cat and the Hat and other character shirts all over most clothing stores like this one:

Running Track

Hello All....

Yesterday was track practice. Our Coach had us sprinters running four 400's and four 300's. It was a very good workout! Unfortunately, there was a lot of wind while we were running, but I know, no excuses :).

Oh, I said that I was going to run 6 miles on last Saturday but I went to track practice instead. But I still hope to run it soon. I will let you know when I do.

There is a big track meet a Prairie View College this Saturday and I hope to go. I am really excited about running in such a big meet (My coach said about one to three thousand people could be there). But I still need to get my times down a little more. My 100m is at 15:ish seconds and my 200 at 31:00 seconds. But anyway its a lot of fun!

The Resurrection

Matthew 28

The Resurrection:

1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

5The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

8So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

Starting a Blog!/March

I am really excited about finally starting a blog! Thank you Anna for encouraging me to make a blog! I am finally finished putting my blog together after officialy starting it earlier this month.

Speaking of this month, March is going very fast! All though my family has been doing mostly every day things like school there other things that seemed to come and go as fast as they came! Like.......

March 1 st,

My Mom's Birthday!:

Adrienne made mom a healthy yet delicious cake. (The earrings she has on are one of her birthday gifts.)

Earlier that day, I ran a 5k at the Rodeo Run in downtown Houston. It was so much fun running with over 8,000 other people! My finishing time was 33:32. The sun came out during the race so I slowed down a little:). Here is a picture of me in the race.......

That next Saturday, I took a practice SAT for the second time with my brother Chris. The essay was challenging. My favorive parts of the test are the grammer sections.

Also, a couple of times this month Adrienne I got to hang out with some friends. Acouple of weeks ago, Adrienne, Sarah, and I went to the Phil Wickam worship concert. He is a very talented singer and his music has great lyrics. Last week on Friday, Adrienne and I went out to dinner with friends that we had not seen for a while.

Track season started up in February so I have been doing alot of running. Tommorow morning, I hope to run six miles without stopping........ we will see how that goes!!!
