Its Christmas time!!!! =)

Wow its been too long since I have posted!

I am very happy school is over (w/ the exception of algebra 2) and blessed very happy and with my grades and gpa at Cyfair. Well, Christmas is tomorrow!! God is so awesome and I am so thankful that Jesus came down to save us from our sins!

Finished my christmas shopping today, made my first apple pie from scratch (and it turned out great-i am very thankful :) ), and I am now just chilling with my family and watching movies and playing christmas songs on the piano.........<3 A few pictures I have took over the christmas season...

a change in plans...

I have changed my race from the full marathon to the half because of my knee. It is not strong enough to run the amount of miles I should be running per week for the full. So I will be running the half marathon this coming January instead. Yet, I am very excited about running the half and this was the race I have been wanting to run for a while anyway!! Thank you Melissa for helping me make this decision!! So, Full Marathon 2011 here we come!!!!!!!! Oh yeah!

busy, busy,busy!!!!!!

Wow, life has been very busy!
Classes at Cy-Fair have been great so far! My professors are giving out homework like there is not tomorrow, :p but after its done I look back and realize that I enjoyed it. God has been blessing me with good grades! I have been tending to worry over different assignments and not realizing that it is all in God's hands!

So, the marathon is in less than 3 month! AHHHH!! :) I cannot wait. Unfortunately I still have a large amount of training to do due to my knees which are taking the longest to get strong and into shape. My plan is to run 9 miles on my next run. Definitely looking forward to that! I am so excited about this challenge God is allowing me to experience. And a big thanks to my friend and fellow runner Melissa for encouraging me and giving me some really good tips on running. :0)

Teaching piano and photography are things I am always looking forward to. Actually right now I am starving to go out somewhere and take photos! :) -Especially for my awesome friend Corrine who wants some ballet photos taken. :) :)

an interesting morning

So,
I was waiting in the hall before my first class (eng. 1302) started. Then I see a instructor walk into the room I was supposed to be in. The only problem was that my instructor was a man and a lady had just walked in. I am was so confused and hoping I was not in the wrong place (especially on the first day of class). So I go and talk to the lady instructor that walked in and showed her my room assignment and told her that my professor was someone else. So she looks at the roster and there I am printed on her paper :P. So I sat down really puzzled.......I found out later that I was somehow switched to her class without notice........But she is a good teacher. I was just looking forward to the instructor that I signed up for and that I had searched on Rate My Professor. He had really good reviews and everything. But anyway, both classes went well and I really like my History teacher.

It's almost time for cyfair again!!

In a few weeks, classes start up at Cy-fair and I will be doing some more dual credit there. I will be taking English 1302 and History 1302. I am pretty excited about my classes. I think I got some good instructors.......It think I will be lugging around five books, so that will be fun :D. I need to see what I have in my closet that will fit them all........

the marathon

I know, long time, no post :)

Well this is whats been going on lately...

So basically, I signed up for the full 2010 Houston marathon. As you probably know I have been preparing myself mentally and reading everything one needs to know to run the half marathon. But, the half marathon sold out in 24 hours-yes- 24 HOURS!!!! So I thought, ok. so no Houston half this year??? Well my dad said that I should do the full marathon and I was like umm probably not. But I signed up any way. But since then (Saturday) I have been thinking about Philippians 4:13 and that I am a runner not a half marathon runner or a 10k runner. And I told myself I can do this!!!!! I have a truck load of school work to do and a lot of training to do this fall, but I know that the Lord will help me and I can trust in Him. And whatever happens, its God will! :) I am excited about this challenge God has given me.

trip to Dallas!

Chris and I had a great time in Dallas last weekend! Our uncle from Arkansas also came
for the weekend. On Friday we did some shopping. Dallas has some nice outlet malls! On Saturday, Chris and Uncle La Salle had plans to go to a men conference at our aunt's church and my Aunt Donna and I had plans to go to Fort Worth. We had an awesome time and here are some pictures!!

weekend in Dallas!

Hey!

Chris and I are off to a weekend in Dallas! Our aunt lives there and she invited us to come to Dallas for the weekend to celebrate our birthdays (Chris' B-day is on July 25). I am taking my cam. with me so I should have some pics to post when I get back!!!

butterfly hanging out in the garden....

A few days ago I was out checking out the garden with mom, and I spotted this butterfly sitting on one of the rods holding up the tomato plants. I knew my camera was downstairs, but I just knew if I just ran in for a second, it will fly away. But I took my chances because I have not had the chance to take pictures of any butterflies. So I ran in and ran out and to my surprise, there it was hanging out on a leaf in the garden as still as a rock. It only hopped around a little bit while I was taking pictures. The only disappointing thing was that it would not open up its wings...oh well :)

Mother-Daughter Tea Party!

This pass Saturday, our girl's Discipleship group had a party for the mom's and daughters who are in the group. It was plenty fun! Michelle and her sister came and spoke on the importance of modesty. They also have a store that sell amazing modest clothing!! They bought their store to the party so we could try on and buy their products. Here is the link to their online store. Some members of our group did a fashion show to show some of the clothes that they sell. Fun stuff!!!

my 18th birthday!

My Birthday was pretty awesome! My family and friends made it a birthday to remember. After I got my license the evening before my birthday, my dad took me to Cheddars for dinner!

One my Birthday, my siblings gave me some neato presents including candy--Hershey's and lemonheads-- and money to spend at Hobby Lobby (YES!!). For fun, we went to the mall and found a few good deals. Then we came home as satisfied shoppers and ate birthday cake!

Later on, we had caregroup at our house and Mrs. Carolyn made the most amazing ice cream cakes for my birthday! (Thank you soo much Mrs. Carolyn!) I unfortunately do not have any pics of the cakes- they were so pretty. Then they sang Happy Birthday which was really nice!
