The Most Amazing Story:

Luke 2:13-20

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I hope everyone is having a terrific Christmas!! My Christmas was great!! We opened presents, watch the Disney Christmas Parade, ate dinner, and had a lot of fun hanging out. Dad, Chris, Taylor, and Michael went to say hello at a friends house and have some desert. Mom, Adrienne, and I stayed at home watched some movies(Little Women & Perry Mason). Two friends of Adrienne and I came over to say hello also. Here are some pics of our Christmas!

Holiday Magic!

Over the past four years, I have been playing piano in Rice Village for their Holiday Magic Christmas event. A lot of schools come and perform. I play between the schools and when the Santa comes down the street. So its alot fun eventhough it is usually cold outside, your kind of nervous, and have to play in slippery gloves!! But it's worth it!

Early Christmas Present

I love taking pictures and I think I started getting interested in photography around Adrienne's graduation. I took a lot of pictures when we were preparing for her graduation and at her graduation ceremony/party. Since then I have been taking pictures whenever I get a chance to! So last week I got my early Christmas present: a Canon camera! Since we are going out of town for Thanksgiving, my dad thought it would be good to have the camera for the trip. Here is a pic of the cam....

This is one of my fav pictures I have taken so far (our tree in our front yard)

Its is a lot of fun learning to use all the different kinds of settings! I am really looking forward to taking pictures when we go out of town! (Helena, Arkansas/Memphis, Tennessee).

That's all for now...

I Love this Song!

Create in Me
(Psalm 51)

Words and Music by
Joel Sczebel and Todd Twining
Bridge by Charlotte Elliott (1835

Verse 1

Please have mercy on me, O God
According to Your steadfast love
Blot out my iniquity

Verse 2

Whiter than the snow that falls
Is the soul washed in Your blood
I’m guilty; come cover me

Chorus

Create in me a clean heart, a pure heart
You are the joy of my salvation
Create in me a clean heart, a pure heart
Here in Your presence I will sing

Verse 3

Sin has brought me to my knees
Mercy lifts me to my feet
Gratefulness is filling me
Bridge Just as I am, without one plea
But that You shed Your blood for me
And You bid me come
O Lamb of God, I come

You can listen to a clip of this song on the Sovereign Grace website.

Have a great Sunday! Hope to post again soon!

Fireproof!

Last Friday, Chris and I and a bunch of friends went to see Fireproof. A friend at church had some free tickets for free admission to see the movie and meet the leading actress Erin Bethea. The movie was so amazing and is one of the best movies I have ever seen! After the movie a guy from the school of our friend who gave us the tickets, explained to the audience how you could accept Jesus Christ in your life. It was a great speech! Then after that Erin Bethea came into the theater and talked about making the movie!! I have a small video of her talking about the railroad scene....

The line to get her autograph grew very quickly so I did not get her autograph. But as she was walking across the theater, I go to say hello to her for about ten seconds or so. I snapped a pic of her through the line.....

I hope to go see it again while it is in the movies! (I have told Adrienne at lest 500 times that we have got to go see it since she hasn't seen it and so I can see it again!!) :)

Running........

I only got to go to three cross country meets this season because I have been busy with school. But It was so great just to go to those. It feels so great to go run when ever I have a chance to! Even though I am not that great at cross country, I love running with sometimes over two hundred other girls that enjoy running too. Here are a few pictures of us running at my second cc meet.......... (not in the right order) :)

Now, I hope to make my way up to 13.1 miles............

By the way, I saw Fireproof on Friday!! I will talk about that in my next post!

Have a good week!

Last Cross country Meet

The last meet went pretty good! A few people got medals and we all improved on our times. My my time was 17:??. I was happy about that since I had not ran a lot this season. My place was 206 out of 220 girls so it was a fast race! Afterwards we hung out had lunch at the park with the team. Here are some photos!

It's Fall!

I can't believe it's Fall already!

Not too much going on here........

I am actually enjoying Geometry and I hope it stays that way! :)

Time is passing and I still don't have my permit yet. But I am motivated to get finish with my class work before this month is up!
Earlier this month I went to my first cross country meet of the season! But I got to the meet five or so minutes before my race was about to start! When I got there my teammate pinned on my number, then I did a few leg stretches and thirty jumping jax and then the starting gun went off and I was running. I was not sure how good I was going to do with hardly no stretching time or no warm-up run. But I just tried to stay with the pack. It was going well until I got to the hill...... :)
But I was satisfied with my finishing time: 18:43( my fastest time for two miles). I think I was 44th place out of sixty-eight girls.

Last week was My dad's Birthday! Adrienne made banana pudding for him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

That's all for now!

Ike

Well,

We were blessed and did not get much damage by our house! There were a few fallen trees on our street. The only damage we had was our backyard fence, which collapsed. Here is a few pictures of the aftermath I took when I was checking things out around our house.....

Please continue to pray for those who live in Galveston!

I hope to blog again soon!!
