The NEXT Conference

Next was a wonderful experience!!! I learned so much from all of the speakers. Worshiping with so many other Christians was just great. Seeing and being able to meet some awesome people was so neat-o. I feel really blessed to have been able to go this year!

I don't know exactly where to start, but I thought I would share some points from the sermons that stuck out to me.

--Josh Harris explained that Jesus Christ is preeminent in every way possible. He explained that people like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are known as preeminent people yet, Jesus Christ is overall and number one. That is so true because we can do great and amazing things in life, but we have to understand that only God can help us to do great things and only through God are all things possible.

--Kevin DeYoung: Being tormented by Satan is better than being proud.

--C.J. Mahaney talked about our fear of death. I know I can fall into having fear of death, but listening to him preach on that subject helped me to remind myself that living with God in heaven will be 100 times better than the fallen world we are in today. It will be such a wonderful day when we see God in heaven!

Those are just a few points that stood out to me. The sermons were really convicting.

It's Almost Here!!!!!!!!!

We will be leaving tomorrow for NEXT!!!!! I am really really looking forward to it . I am excited about all of the speakers that will be there this year. I have been reading the NEXT blog and they have this really neato Countdown to Next post. check it out here.

I will be looking forward to the plane flight. I hope to get a window seat. It will be so amazing to see God's creation from far up. I haven't been on a plane since I was six, but I know that my ears will pop and everything, so my pack of gum will be my friend for the ride :D .

Christopher's Graduation day

The graduation and party was awesome!! Despite the rain, the day went very well! And of course I took alot of pictures because I think the pictures can give you a good look at all that happened! Graduation preparations!

Chris will be graduating on Saturday!!!

We have been planning and buying decor (Chris' theme color is blue) this week. We have been looking back at the pis from Adrienne's grad. party to refresh ourselves of what we did last year and how we decorated the house. We also have a few relatives coming for the graduation so that will be fun!! Yesterday was the graduation rehearsal. Emily and I had fun taking photos of the rehearsal/church. Emily is very good a photographer and is a inspiration to me!! :)

Finals is over!!!

Class is over at Cyfair until August!! Today at our final exam, we had to write a timed essay. I think that went preety well! I really liked this class. I enjoyed all of the group projects and I really like my teacher. She really helped us with our assignments. She wanted us to do really well in her class. I definatly learned alot!

Today I signed up for English 1302. I will also be taking the math placement test soon to see if I qualify to take College Algebra.

So yeah......... I really like Cyfair and am looking forward August! But, of course I will enjoy having no homework for awhile! :)

exciting happenings....

Hey!

I am really excited because Adrienne and I are going to the NEXT (New Attitude) Conference next month!!!!!! We have defiantly been trusting in God with all of the financial issues! Some members of our church had a garage sale last Saturday to help out with some of the expenses. Many people from church had a lot of things to contribute! We also had a bake sale on the side. The sale went wonderfully. Here are some photos! :
