I will as you probably know, I ran my first half marathon almost two weeks ago! I feel very blessed to be able to run that far (Phil. 4:13!!!!) in the time of 2:28:38. It was really awesome and I think hard to explain how awesome of an experience it was!!! The sight of seeing almost 30,ooo people running was great! I think it was neato that they were handing out orange slices along the course!!!:D :D I just thought that was cool.....
I am very thankful that my knee held up!! I think there was some pain during the race, but it wore off and was pretty much fine for sure around mile 9....
I was really really great that my Aunt Donna was able to come out to support me!! I really appreciated that! And Of course my dad!! He has been my coach for training for the race. :)
So I am looking forward to training for the full marathon next year!!! I was very happy to be able to run the half first to get a feel for how it would be running the marathon and it really helped...so I am very excited about 26.2!!!!!!!!
