Half Marathon??

I was planning to run the half marathon(13.1 miles) next January, but I waited too long to sign up so now I am on the waiting list with 2,509 people in front of me!!! So I am thinking I am not going to get in. But I am still training of course! Last Saturday,(In the HOT morning SUN) I ran 6.4 miles (1:11), stopped for about 20 minutes and stretched, then I did 3.2 more miles(34:00min?). So just four more miles to go!! My time is decent, I guess. I thinking that it will take me about 2:30 to run the half,(if I run at the right time of the day!) but I am hoping my time will go down some still.......

Zucchini!

A few days ago, some friends of ours gave my mom a gigantic zucchini! I honestly could not believe my eyes the first time I looked at it! We were thinking about what we were going to make with it and of course the most delicious idea ruled out all the others: zucchini bread!! So I volunteered to make it! Here are some photos!

Fourth of July Party!

My family went to our friends from History coop/cross country for the fourth. It was tons of fun!! I loved all the red white and blue decorations they had all over their home!! There were fun games and great fireworks at the bayou. Adrienne has alot of pictures on her blog, but here are a few I took!

17 on the 17th

Hi everybody!

Y'all probably all know that I turned 17 on Tuesday! It was a pretty fun day. My dad and I went to the Holocaust Museum and to the Contemporary Arts Museum, did some sightseeing in Hermann Park, went shopping, and then went home to have pizza, cake-n-ice cream with my family. Here are some pics........

Permit Test

Well,

I tried to go take the permit test today but I did not realize I would have to have 6 hours of parent taught classes before I could take the test! So I have to send in this paper to get the packet that has everything I need to learn, but it is going to take 2-3 weeks just to get the packet!!!!

Tomorrow, I hope to send off the paper they gave me so I can receive the packet as soon as possible!

Random Happenings........

I know, I have not posted in forever!!
But only school has been filling up my days the past few weeks!

Even though I have not ran in over a week, the last time I ran I was able to run 6 miles again without stopping.

I might be taking the drivers permit test today! I will let y'all know when and how I did!

Well, my birthday is next week so I am looking forward to that !

I have been drenching the yard and the flowers everyday because of the HOT weather!

I hope to be playing around with my blog soon.( As you can see I have a bookshelf)
